The control of CIRRUS 16 is specifically made for interactive applications utilizing OLEDs. The user can chose whether the lighting scenario should be based on data from the web, movement, proximity and distance as well as auditive inputs. The light object CIRRUS 16 being on display in the exhibition at the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur interprets the relationship between light and different weather conditions by visualizing weather data. During this dynamic display of information, an algorithm keeps the luminance at a constant level. A proximity sensor enables visitors to interact with the light installation directly. Other types of interaction can easily be implemented. CIRRUS 16 is comprised of 16 lighting panels, each featuring two OLEDs (32 in total) and flokk controllers (4 in total).
